Andorra has become a very popular ski destination over the past number of years because of budget ski and snowboarding deals, new modern facilities, world-class ski schools, reliable snow coverage and breathtaking views.

 

Nestled between France and Spain in the Pyrenees, Andorra boasts four great ski resorts and has become a haven for first-time skiers and intermediaries due to its great skiing terrain and state-of-the-art lift facilities.

 

This destination has something for everyone. It is a cheap family ski holiday, with the Arinsal and Pal resorts offering impressive child facilities for families, while Pas de la Casa offers a lively nightlife for après ski enthusiasts. Andorra is also well known for its great value duty-free shopping!

ACCOMMODATION IN ANDORRA:
There are a diverse variety of all budgets accomodations located in Andorra ski resorts, from very basic up to 4-5-star hotels. There are some attractive with range of modern apartment built in a traditional stone-clad style, create a rustic feel to the resort. There are accommodations located at Pal-Arinsal, however there are no slopes leading to these towns. In the capital Andorra La Vella and Pas De La Casa, many accomodations offer ski in/ski out access to the slopes.

 

NIGHTLIFE IN ANDORRA:

The nightlife at Andorra is rich in entertainments, can be found many discos, bars and pubs offering distinctively different atmospheres and musics. Andorra La Vella offers a multicultural atmosphere from Irish pubs to mountain hut parties. In the Pal-Arinsal bars, guest resort can participate at a quiz night or dance to a live band's set. Soldeu has a lively apres-ski scene, affordable alcohol and plenty of great bars and nightclubs. In Pas De La Casa ski resort, there are many bars and restaurants to suite all tastes and budgets.

 

QUICK FACTS: 

Money: the unit currency is the Euro. The most common credit cards accepted are Mastercard and Visa. 

Food: Catalan cuisine made from grilled and barbecued meat is popular with the locals. Eating out is very reasonable with an evening meal from €9.

Drink: even though is a duty free country, all alcoholic drinks are cheaper when bought in a supermarket. Local spirits and beers are relatively cheap in bars.

Language: the official language is Catalan, however Spanish, French and English are widely understood.
