The terrain is diverse with "all green" lift servicing beginners' runs to the "all black" Ninety-Nine 90's lift servicing only advanced and expert runs. You can find extensive forests of both pine and aspen, so if tree skiing is your passion try The Pines on the north-side of Saddleback. For steep and deep the north-side trees off Tombstone is the best option. There are many areas that attract advanced and expert skiers. The chutes on the south side of Murdock Peak with the powder slopes are the most memorable.
At the base of the mountain lies The Canyons Resort Village Centre and on its centre the 360 room four-star slope side Grand Summit Resort Hotel. The village has been skilfully designed in a way that pedestrians can easily access all amenities in the area. The village was designed using indigenous materials like Utah red rock and Wasatch pines. The whole place is tastefully decorated with Native Utah designs like petroglyphs and pictographs.
