Furano is located in the centre of Hokkaido, offering dryer powder and more blue sky days than you will experience throughout most resorts in Japan.

The ski resort is comprised of two interlinked resorts, Furano and Kitanomine. Both these areas have nearly 1000 vertical metres of skiing for all ability levels, with night skiing until 9.00 pm. It is a world class resort that has hosted world cup ski and snowboard events, and regularly hosts national Japanese events.
It features fantastic long groomed runs, offering spectacular views over the town of Furano, towards the central Hokkaido ranges.
Skiing Furano is spectacular, with virtually every run giving you great views of the peak of Mt Furano and the summits of Hokkaido's highest mountains.
A wide expanse of lifts including 2 gondolas and 15 lifts gives skiers and snowboarders access to a huge variety of terrain. On the slopes, Furano offers attractions for every level of skier, expert courses, long fast runs, fantastic tree skiing and long wide and easy crusing runs for beginners.

In the winter, natural hot spring combined with backcountry Ski Mountains, are just 1 hour away by car. It would be a day you will never forget.

Mountains around Furano Ski Resort.

There are 2 big ski zones in Furano ski resort, which are "Kitanomine Zone" & Furano Zone" conecting at the middle of the mountain. Furano ski season usually starts late November and finished around early May, with the best powder ski period being between January and March.

There is also plenty of choice when it comes to dining out as the resort and the town combined has about 100 eateries, with more of the restaurants situated in town.
