Charming village with some of the most spectacular scenery in the Alps

This resort shares the Junfrau pass with Grindelward and Murren, and is famous for its dramatic downhill course, the Lauberhorn. Wengen is a classical Swiss ski resort that is very relaxed, surrounded by stunning scenery. This traditional traffic-free Alpine village, is reached only by cog railway and consists of long gentle runs, ideal for intermediates.

The main hub of the action is in the village centres on the main street where you will find an array of bustling cafes, shops and restaurants just waiting for you to come in and soak up the relaxed atmosphere. In addition to this, the Jungfrau ski area boasts an impressive 200 kilometres of piste for you to explore. The extensive ski area can be accessed by train, which will whisk you up to Kleine Scheidegg or for a speedier climb, jump on the cable car. Once up the mountain eager snow hounds will find an endless network of cruisy blues and reds and if you are after the steep powder try the runs down from the Lauberhorn lift. Experts should try your hand at the Lauberhorn world cup run and for a bigger challenge head to the off-piste area on the Eiger glacier, or the runs around Mürren.

For snowboarders the local slopes around Wengen are not ideal for those new to the sport, however keen snow hounds will love the half-pipes here and the steep descents at Mürren will definatley keep expert boarders occupied.Wengen-_polaroids

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
