Formerly an old farming village, this modern ski resort has something to offer for everyone

Only 2 hours from Geneva Airport, Leysin enjoys a fantastic position on a high sunny plateau, with stunning views of the valley. This modern ski village is an ideal choice for beginner and intermediate skiers, however Leysin offers something for everyone including a snowpark with half pipe and sled run, ice skating, sleigh rides and much more. Access to the ski slopes is easy via the free shuttle bus that services the resort. The lift pass covers the neighbouring ski areas of Les Mosses, Villars and Les Diablerets, providing skiers with a fantastic choice. The resort boasts some great facilities, including a fully equipped sports centre, cinema featuring English films, a great choice of restaurants and cafes.

Beginners will appreciate Leysin with the convenient village nursery slopes and the progression onto the higher, gentle pistes is made easy. The majority of runs are red and blue, making this resort ideal for intermedate skiers with a variety of uncrowded, open terrain that is sure to help improve your style. Also ski over to Solepraz with the well connected lift system or take the bus to Les Mosses. You might also want to take full advantage of the full area pass and ski the slopes of Villars. For advanced skiers, besides the black pistes, there is also plenty of off-piste skiing, around the foot of the Tour d'Ai. Otherwise, you can take a bus and train for a 45 minute ride to Les Diablerets for some glacier skiing at 3000 metres and the 12 kilometre red run, which is included on the full area Alpes Vandoise lift pass.

Leysin is another famous snowboarding resort hosting an ISF Pro Tour pipe and boardpark. Freeriders have lots of fantastic terrain to explore around Berneuse and for the backcountry experience, hire a guide to check out the route at the top of Chaux de Mont. The beginners slopes have easy to use rope tows which will make learning to snowboard much more enjoyable.leysin_polaroids

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
