Some of the world’s best skiing
Lying in the heart of the Grisons region of Switzerland and offering over 300 kilometres of exceptional skiing, Davos is truly a world-renowned ski resort. With six different ski areas, you'll find skiing here is very suitable for all grades, and the ski lifts are easily accessible via a very efficient and frequent ski bus system. The highest city in the Alpine region and one of the oldest and most fashionable ski resorts, this multifaceted winter paradise also has cross-country trails, tobogganing, sleigh rides and one of the largest out-door ice skating rinks in Europe making Davos a truly great all-rounder resort. The village is divided into the 2 main centres of Dorf and Platz, both of which are packed with hotels, cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. The fastest way up the mountain is via the Parsenn funicular, which one can take from the Davos Dorf part of town. Once up the mountain a world of opportunities awaits! For those new to the snow head to the nursery slopes at Bolgen and Bünda. Intermediates will be flying high with extensive opportunities on long cruisy runs. Not to be missed is the mega long extravaganza from Weissfluhjoch all the way down to world famous Klosters. Expert skiers looking for a resort with a difference will love the terrain around Davos and with the mix of endless kilometres, vertical drops and awesome off-piste to keep the most seasoned pro on their toes, it is suggested you hunt down a guide and get exploring. Snowboarders who love a challenge can get stuck into some exciting terrain including the popular board park at Jakobshorn.
