Sweden's largest ski resort

Few ski kingdoms have such a fantastic range for so many, resulting in a place where families, ski hounds and party people can enjoy their winter holiday side by side. Spread out over four areas known as Lindvallen, Högfjället, Tandådalen, Hundfjället, and with Kläppen and Stöten also near by, it is no exaggeration to say that Sälen has a slope for everyone. So whether your after green or black trails, skiing or snowboarding, or your a fearless five-year-old, a wobbly 40-year-old or a thrill seeking 18-year-old, it makes no difference, because everything that makes a genuine winter holiday is at hand in Sälen.

You will be able to make parallel sweeps on Sweden's most skied slope, soak up the breathtaking scenery, ski in four resorts in one day, practice your skills on 21 connecting green slopes, and jump in one of Sweden's best fun parks, but don't forget you must find time to also munch down waffles made from recipes unchanged since the 1930's.

The terrain is split evenly between all levels with good slopes for beginners to start learning on and for intermediates to sink there teeth into. Advanced skiers have a host of exciting runs that will have the hardest of riders tested to the limits and needing a week to conquer what Sälen has to offer. Freeriders will be pleased to find lots of cool areas to explore with deep powder stashes and fast steeps off-piste. For those wanting to go high off man made hits, then there is a host of terrain parks and halfpipes to satisfy your need for thrills.salen_polaroids

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
